This fact sheet examines the access to justice mechanisms available to Ugandan domestic workers in the Gulf States and in Uganda, assessing bilateral agreements, host country complaint systems, embassy support, and national remedies. It highlights persistent barriers—including low awareness, digital and language challenges, weak embassy capacity, and retaliation risks—and calls for strengthened legal, diplomatic, and institutional protections to ensure meaningful access to justice.
